MidCon
The MidCon Corridor – a primarily single track railroad paralleling Interstates I-29 and I-35 – links southern ports in Texas and destinations in America’s heartland and central Canada. Over 30 million people live and work in the areas served by the MidCon, accounting for over $1.9 trillion in gross domestic product and almost 14 million jobs. Critical to the nation’s energy supply, the MidCon moves coal to utilities for power and refined petroleum products from supply centers in the south to areas of demand throughout North America. In addition, the MidCon handles significant agricultural products for export, including corn, wheat, soybeans and ethanol.
